Barelang Bridge

Barelang Bridge (Batam, Rempang, Galang) is one of the most popular places in Batam. This bridge is also called the Habibie Bridge because it was initiated by the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia B.J. Habibie. Now, the Barelang Bridge connecting 3 major islands (Batam, Rempang, and Galang) has become an icon and landmark of the City of Batam and is known as the historical value of the island it connects.

Ranoh Island

Ranoh Island is one of the many attractions of the Abang Island group, Batam, Riau Islands. Ranoh Island has a sand beach that appears on its surface to form a small peninsula into the deep sea with clear and calm sea water. Ranoh island is an exotic island which is also one of the must-visit attractions in Batam. Tropical nuance is the main reason to enjoy the beauty of this island.

Ocarina Park

Ocarina Park is a tourist attraction that is suitable for those who want the feel of the beach. This 40-hectare playground is located by the beach. Located 1 km from Batam Center Harbor, Ocarina Theme Park is very strategic. In Ocarina Park, there are various interesting rides, such as Giant Wheel or giant windmills with a diameter of 30 m. There are also festivals that are often held, and Kampoeng Seni which is a market for handicraft products and works of art.

The best time to visit Batam is February to August. This is the peak period in the island when tourists from all around the globe can be seen there having a good time. The island has a tropical climate annually and hence; the temperature usually ranges from 26-27 degree Celsius. Rainfall is dominant in this island throughout the year and the so-called dry months of February-September also gets the right amount of precipitation. 

October to January is the rainy season in Batam islands, and the rainfall level is very high. There’s hardly any variation in the climate during these months, and hence, you should inevitably avoid visiting Batam islands during this period. February to September, as mentioned above, is the dry period in Batam, although, the rain is prevalent. Temperature is constant during these months as well.

Ferry/Boat

You can catch ferries from Sumatra, Johor Bahru, or Singapore which are anchored in Sekupang. From there, you will take a taxi from IDR 50-100,000 to Nagoya or Batam City. Or you can also take it from the Batam Center, from there, you will take a IDR 50-100,000 taxi to Nagoya or Batam.

Taxi

Expect a taxi from Hang Nadim airport to the city center at a cost of around IDR 50,000-100,000. Batam Punggur to Batam Center (Rp. 60,000-100,000). Nagoya to HarbourBay ferry terminal at Batu Ampar (Rp. 50,000). Sekupang to Batam Center (Rp. 50,000-150,000).

Plane

Batam's busy regional airport is a global gateway to Indonesia by air as it already is by sea. The airport offers connections to many Indonesian cities, including to Jakarta, Pekanbaru, Bandung, Medan and other secondary cities.

Car/Bus

Most hotels run shuttle buses during the day to the ferry ports and to the main shopping mall.
If you drive from the airport, take Jl. Wait for Tuah and turn right onto Jl. Sudirman. Then turn left on Jl. Ahmad Yani and follow the path to the city of Batam.

Batam Center - Batam center is the center of batam government. Batam Center has a very large shopping center (Mega Mall), and is very good for seeing the whole island, in batam center there is also a ferry terminal.

Sekupang - the main port on Batam, Sekupang is the golf center on the island, with courses like Indah Puri and Bukit Batam, and is very convenient for ferry passengers.
